RACE NOTES:
- With the exception of three people, everyone in the race ran way too damn fast. .5 seconds or something is fine but there were some people like 2 seconds or more faster than the target time. I know it probably wasn't on purpose but that's a crap excuse either way, it takes at most a half hour to properly set up a car and have it prepped for race weekend. Be fair to the other racers or lose some points this week, it's that simple.
- On a related note a few dudes are still lapping much slower than the target time. Practice goes a long way but don't be a afraid to add BoP adjustments as long as you don't overdo them.
- Couple drivers this week noticed and exploited the fact that the game lets you hop the Casio Triangle chicane right before the front straight and drive basically off-track. I know I cut corners at some tracks (top of the hill at Road Atlanta anyone?) and if the game allows you to do that I don't see how we could stop you, but if you're going to do it you should take that time difference into account while setting up your car or follow the normal racing line so we don't get a repeat of last week.

Forgot to write it down but 2:22 is about the range though. I'll have the exact time up by Friday.

Just a heads up, I took down basically all my cars from the club garage and replaced them with the cars I had lined up for the Classic GT series. I think there were about 14 or so, but I'm still saving up for a Shelby Daytona to test at the PI I have them running, so there will probably be another one added soon.

Maybe I'll actually do some testing with yall instead of before the race by myself.

3rd place is definitely better than I thought.. Which is good considering im sucking in the A550.

Really all you have to do is show up for most of the races and you're pretty guaranteed a top 5 by the end of the season. I love the A550 series because the cars are so crap to drive; the muscle cars just plow their way through corners and lose traction under like no power so it actually takes skill to drive, unlike the B450 cars where they just kind of stick mostly.

Might be a good idea, I'm really interested to see how the Camaro pulls a Jagerbimmer on the front straight.

I may be able to tune out (as in remove) the cam upgrade so I can hit the times at a proper PI. But that stretched powerband sure is nice for tuning.

Might have to, I'm remembering back to the Road Atlanta race where you just murdered me and RoboRed on the straights even with the lap time being consistent. I dunno, your call.

I wasn't helped by it too much last time. So we will see. This track is more about the conserving your speed through the esses and your drive off the tight turns. Not much straight to take advantage of.

The reason I'm probably not doing well in the A550's is because it's somehow coincided with Saturday's I haven't been able to race. Most of the Saturdays I've had off were the B450. I'm not bad with the muscle cars, I usually finish in the upper half, but to be honest I enjoy driving the 450's a little more. I've got my Mustang handling really really well actually, I'm looking forward to racing it this week.

How do I get involved in this fun?
My latest fun is going into the online things and picking the "everyone runs the same stock version of the same car" thing. Sometimes the cars are slow, but the racing is intense.

First tell me your gamertag and I'll send you a club invite; on race days we invite people from the club roster so just accept it and be online around 4pm EST Saturday and you shouldn't have any problems.
This week's race at Suzuka is A550 muscle cars so get one prepped to the rules on that page and when I post the target lap time tomorrow tune it so it meets (but doesn't exceed) that time at Suzuka. Week after we're back to the B450 cars so it wouldn't hurt to get one ready as well.
We kinda do the same thing, with the BoP adjustment system we use the cars are basically equal and racing has been incredibly competitive: in our A550 race at Le Mans we had two groups of four finish within about three seconds of each other over the course of a ~45 minute race and the B450 race before this one I won by .05 seconds.

I probably put in a few dozen laps. I'm easily beating the A.I. drivers set to Professional with faster cars.

I have no idea what's going on then, the B450 race last week had a time of 2:29.5 and the A550 cars run about 8 seconds faster at Suzuka.

Wait, I've been testing on IMS. XD
Dammit, now I have less than a day to retune and test for Suzuka. For some reason I thought the A550 cars had already done Suzuka. LMAO.

Well crap, looks like I'm going to have to take something off. 20 practice laps in, I keep getting into the mid-to-high 2:21's.

Time's 2:21.250 so as long as you're near that you should be good.

Ok, getting 2:21.758 in races against 11 A.I. drivers. I can live with that.
